The IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) is an internationally recognized British system, designed to encourage high academic standards through a practical approach to teaching and learning. It is equivalent in standard to the Egyptian Thanaweya Aama. The IGCSE is accepted as a university entrance qualification by the Egyptian universities, the American University in Cairo, the German University, the British University, the private universities and most universities abroad.

Cambridge IGCSE examination sessions occur twice a year, in June and November. Results are issued in August and January.

A levels are studied typically between the ages of 16-18 (Years 11 and 12), although mature pupils are encouraged. The International As and A- Level examinations are held twice a year in June and November. A-Levels can help you:

Two main exam boards offer A-levels; Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) and Pearson Edexcel. Pupils usually complete their A-Levels in two courses; first, they study the first half of the A-Level, which is called As-Level. In the second course, they study A2-level. The results combined from both courses are the A-Level grade. There is a broad range of A-levels for you to choose from (Over 50 subjects), including Business, Science, Arts and Humanities subjects. we encourage you to study the subjects you'll enjoy. However, we recommend the following choices in preparation for specific degree areas:

Science, Medicine and Engineering: Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Business, Humanities and Law: Maths, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, English Literature and Psychology.
